Welcome back from summer holidays and Ramadan Kareem to all of you. Please find below information on our September EAS meeting. It will be held over Iftar/breakfast time at Cafe Layal, located at 6328 Richmond Ave, Houston, TX 77057 (Richmond Avenue @ Unity Drive)

Place	Cafe Layal restaurant (open buffet from a variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines)
Date and Time	7:00 pm Saturday September 20 (Maghrib ~ 7:25 pm on that day)
Price	Members will pay $10.00 and the Society will pay the rest (up to $4 per person)
Procedure	As you walk into Cafe Layal, please identify yourself as EAS members and pay $10.00/person and then head for the private dining room that we always use. Pick a seat and make yourself comfortable. In time, you will be asked to stand in line at the open buffet to get your dinner.

A few other notices:

1. If you have not yet paid your 2008 annual membership dues, please remember to bring a check along to the meeting for convenient payment ($30 per individual or $60 per family). Paying your dues is one way you can pay back the society for its services and is essential for the survival of the EAS. Remember that the Board members all pay their dues in addition to working many hours on a volunteer basis hours with nothing in return except for being able to bring Egyptian-American individuals and their families together. The EAS has helped new comers to Houston and has provided an excellent venue for young members to get to know each other.
   


2. We are in the process of formulating the Nominating Committee for 2009 Board. There will be a number of vacant spots available for Board membership and we welcome new blood, especially young members. Please send Dr. Ezzat Abouleish your name if you would like to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
