Obituary - Mrs. Tawhida El-Askary
With great sorrow we received the passing of the Society member and friend Mrs. Tawhida El-Askary, the wife of Hany El-Omary and Director and Lecturer of Arabic Studies in the University of Houston. Mrs. El-Askary passed away early morning of Wednesday, Dec. 30th.
The EAS Board would like to extend their sincere condolences to the surviving family members and ask Allah to bless the soul of the deceased and reward her for her good deeds.

Please join us to express our condolences to the family of Tawhida El-Askary on Sunday, January 3, 2010. The gathering will begin at El Farouq Mosque at 2PM. At the conclusion of Al-Asr prayer, we will move to the home of Tarek and Mona Ghazi. If you cannot join us at the mosque, feel free to come directly to the Ghazi’s home, beginning at 4:30PM and ending at 6:30PM.
Directions to the Ghazi’s home: Take I-10 west to the Grand Parkway (Hwy. 99) exit. Turn left (south) on 99 to the Fry Rd. exit (several miles). Turn right (west) on Fry to Gaston Rd. (several miles). Turn right on Gaston, then turn right immediately on Crestford Park Lane. Turn left immediately on Lacey Oak Meadow. The Ghazi’s home will be on your right.
