Events around Houston

The Palestinians for Peace and Democracy - (P4PD.org) in Houston - is presenting two educational events discussing the controversial question of the future State for Palestinians. In the first event Mrs. Nadia Hijab will explain "What would a 2-state solution do for Palestinian human rights?"

The first event will be on January 29, 2010 at 3201 Sage Rd., Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Galleria Area. The event starts at 6:45 p.m.

The second event will be in February 19, 2010 and Mr. Ali Abunimah, the co-founder of Electronic Intifada will speak on "One Country, the only road for peace and justice in Palestine".

EAS January Meeting - Lots of Fun for A New Year

The EAS Board would like to thank all who attended our last function at the Sheraton Suites Hotel. The first meeting with the new Board was indeed a success. It was attended by more than 100 members and friends of EAS, as well as about 15 children. The meeting program was mainly social, where the attendees enjoyed the company and the entertainment program, which was provided by the DJ and magic trickery of of Bob Fostok followed by an lively interactive fun with the "Name that Tune" led by Dina Eldeeb, Rabab Sabahhi and Tara Zaafran. Ten lucky winners got prizes of $5 gift cards.

In their separate room, the children also had their share of the fun with the magic tricks, funny clown, face painting, balloon animals, provided by Bob and Dori Fostok and well as the pizza.

A special thank goes also to all who worked behind the scene to make this function the success and fun it was.
